Positive: The hosts are very friendly, thoughtful, attentive, prepared yummy Greek food for us. The little house is not far from Ierapetra in a quiet peaceful village.. and has everything one could need! Many little details are taken care of! We definitely felt very much at home.

Negative: It's not possible to park directly at the house cause it's located some meters up on the little hill. However lots of parking spots available at the main road (only 5 minutes walking distance to the house). Bathroom a bit too small, can't use toilet when someone is showering. Yet we got used to it quickly.

Positive: We had such a wonderful, relaxing time at MaciliaVilla! The house is beautiful- a private, renovated authentic house in a peaceful village. It’s full of charm, very comfortable, sparkling clean, fully equipped (including a washing machine..). Authentically decorated- every detail is thought about with love and care. A place that makes you feel at home right away. There is a big lovely terrace where you can sit and relax watching the open view spreading from the mountains to the sea, or enjoy the open starry sky in the evening. You can dine in or out in the terrace or just relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. If you like hiking you can get up in the morning and walk a round track uphill from the path just around the house, or just take a nice relaxed walk serounding the village. You can cook your own meals or go to the many restaurants in the 10 minutes drive to Ierapetra or 25 minutes drive to the picaresque village- Myrtos. In both places you’ll find many good restaurants, lovely beaches and shops. Regarding the wonderful special hosts- We don’t have enough words to describe their generous, kind, warm hearted welcoming hospitality! Not only did they help us with everything we needed (including arranging an urgent appointment with an excellent dentist), but they also left an abundance local goods, including homemade divine sweet delights, jam and cakes made by the mother, as well an excellent red wine and a superb raki made by the father , among many other things.. Thank you ever so much for your generous and welcoming hospitality! We hope we’ll come back again very soon!

Positive: The hosts Georgia and Niko are incredible - we had very warm welcome and I dare to say they are best examples for the Cretan and Greek hospitality. We've got welcome drinks and fruits, water in the fridge, and not on last place local wine and raki (my admiration for Niko, the producer!). The place itself is a separate house with 2 bedrooms: one with a bunk bed ideal for 2 kids, and the other is with double bed. The living room is pretty spacious, with a large table Cozy, yet absolutely practical and comfortable. Excellent equipment, the kitchen has everything you may need for your stay. There is washing machine. The terrace will definitely become your favorite place in the evening/night. The Internet is good. There is no possibility to park exactly near the house but there is plenty of free parking space on the main street, not so far from the place. In our case Google maps couldn't manage to bring us to the correct house place, thus I recommend to contact the hosts before arrival in order to avoid unnecessary wandering in the village. There is a local cafe in the village, also a small shop. Ierapetra is very close at about 10 min car ride. There are at least 20 km (eastwards and westwards) nice and easily accessible beaches of Ierapetra. Georgia would provide you with the details.

Summary: Peaceful. Highly recommend! If you look for peace and serenity, this is your place
